Nothing gone smooth lately...

Hello!! It is one of those days, weeks, month... that nothing goes right! Well, actually it is not that extreme but almost. Every other day, there is drama happening in the office. Even though it is not anything that serious, or bad, nor it is stuff that is unmanageable or unsolvable, it is just time consuming. Like what I told Sabrina today, it never rains but pours. I really hope that this period will be over soon. So much things happening. I am going to commit the matters of the office to God.

Dear Heavenly Father, I commit the matters of my office occurrences to You. You with your Almighty powers, please grant my office matters light. Please grant us favor, victory and kindness. We have all really been working too hard. And we really need your mercy and love. Lord please grant us with the knowledge and wisdom to work hard and to attend to all issues and problems. Also, please grant us patience and the lack of anger. Lord please help us bring all the matters to a good closure, that all that we do, there will be a lack of problems and follow ups. Lord, please keep us in your tent, where you can shelter us from the impending doom and storm. :) Thank you Lord, Jesus. Amen.

Audit's coming soon!

Hello! Recently we are starting to get really busy again because the dreaded audit is coming soon! Okay perhaps I should clarify, we do not know of the dates yet but since the at this same time last year we were frantically preparing for the same audit, it would roughly be about the same time this year that they would come. So we are preparing for it. Because we have done it before last year, and that we kinda have a template and a darn good new consultant, we feel that the preparation process is more manageable. It seems quite much easier but still there are lots to be done in the preparation process. :) Anyways, I am prepared, I am going to work hard and finish up all the documentation to make sure when the auditors come, we will be able to work things out perfectly. It will be more like the case of, you coming to see the processes of my company and just let me know what is good and what is not and understand how I am going to work harder from then. I really pray that everything goes according to plan and everything is good again this time - if not BETTER!

Therefore God, I am leaving the audit that my company is / will be going through in Your hands. I pray that You will grant us favour and patience, knowledge, wisdom and power to understand and work with the auditors for this period. I pray for Your gracious and merciful hands to be place around us and give us the almighty power and knowledge to handle the auditors. I pray that God, You enable the auditors to be righteous and fair, non discriminating and full of understanding. Thank you God, these are the only things I can pray for. And of cause, I pray for health and concentration for me and my colleagues and my bosses for this period, everybody is going to be quite high strung and all but we are going to pull through! We can do it! Jiayou FZD girls!!! (and FZD men!) Woo Hoooo!

Today's escapade - peektures!

Flying time - Happy Birthday Hanjie!

This weekend, I feel extremely accomplished. Perhaps it is because today, I went to many pretty places with Jon and his very nice friends. :)

First, we went to Little pancakes for our supposed brunch. Even though the food was so so, the coffee was good. They took extremely long to prepare the food! 9 of us, our food came in like 1 hour. I think it is because they take supreme care in giving us the best food in the freshest order. I love the coffee there! They served the vanilla lattes in pretty mugs! Man. I would go there for the coffee anytime. I ordered a nutella pancake set. They served it with nutella, chocolate chips, chocolate sauce and a small dollop of chocolate ice cream. They served my pancake set with 8 small rounds of tiny pancake bites. That is perhaps why they take so long to prepare! To get 8 perfect sized rounds cooked perfectly takes long time man! Peijun ordered the Oreos and s'mores set, Tania, banana, Huiting, original maple and butter, Leroi, blueberries, Jon, Sarah and Tye Wei, the big breakfast set. :) the egg was delicious! Hanjie's order did not come! Haha! We felt bad because after all he is the birthday boy so we went for lunch with him at Thai Gold Restaurant at Sunshine Plaza after brunch. I know right! Right after brunch we went to eat lunch!

Peijun left for her family affairs so we were left with 8. We went back to my old hunt, Middle Road. :) we ordered Tom yam soup, green curry, spring rolls, fish cake and basil pork. Oh my gosh the basil pork is so delicious! Now that I am typing my mouth is salivating! Haha! I loved the Tom yam soup the most actually. Right tone of spice and sourness, sweetness. Yum! And the right notes of seafood. Wah so shiok! After eating and all, Sarah started talking about Antionette and so we went to 30 Penhas Road to have delicious macaroons and tea. :)

The place is beautiful! I absolutely love the decor in that place. Very Victorian. Very oldish but not outdated. I love the arm chairs, the mirrors, saucers, tea pots and cups. Very nice. This is a once in a lifetime chance to visit this place, I don't think I will often because the desserts are kinda pricey :) maybe for an anniversary or something I would. :) after drinking, eating and having lots of fun, we all had to go to our separate ways at about 615pm. It's quite sad but I supposed that's life. :) we went home and I was so tired, I showered and napped... While Jon went for a run! Omg! I know right! I am too lazy! I need to lose weight, eat so much!

Jon's mum cooked super delicious beef brisket and noodles. Super yum! I ate every single bit and gravy and noodles. So much for losing weight! Oh well, there is always tomorrow! Haha! Tomorrow I will JIAYOU! :)

I feel that this weekend passed quite slowly. We travelled to so many places, and we spent so much time together. I really felt that my time was really well spent and worth while. I am so happy!

I think I gotta sleep now. I don't want to think about work (which my mind is revisiting now). Night! God, give me strength to settle all the difficulties tomorrow! Only with You, I can do it! Be with me my Lord God!

Unexplainable hunger pangs

Hey! I have been feeling oh so hungry like every hour of the day, sincerely, seriously hungry. I am excited by the sheer thought of food. Lest to mention, the smell. I go crazy when I smell the aroma of sautéing onions and garlic, stir fried vegetables, baking bread, stewed and braised pork leg and boiling pots of fish head curry. I sneak to the kitchen, raid the fridge like a raccoon, every hour of the day.

Now even when I am typing, my tummy is rumbling! And I ate so much! I had early dinner at Jon's with his parents, then at 9 plus I ate braised chicken wings with cauliflowers and toufu. So much! Morning I had subway's breakfast of ham and egg sandwich, lunch with toast jam and milk with cereal. So hearty and good! (right after I ate, I slept! - Fark man!) then dinner was rice with fish head curry, veggie and pork leg roasted. Oh shoot! So hungry now!

I am going to raid the fridge now. Hahaha. Old habits die HARD. Really walk smack right into the wall hard.

Heat wave! Sick again and some thoughts :)

Is it just me or the weather getting darn hot these days!? Yes I know it is summer time in the other countries, like USA and Europe and all (but not Australia) but I am in Singapore ey! How can it get so darn hot? Every day when I wake up I can feel the heat in my room, almost suffocating. Then I have to shower and get ready for work. I rush around a bit, get my make up on and all, already sweating! I don't sleep with the air con on because I have a super powerful fan and usually like everyday it is good enough for me. I even use my comforter with the fan on. Now, no need for any of that. Even just lying in bed with the fan at me and no comforter, I am already sweating. So my air con has been on for the first part of my night for the last week.

Which brings to mind, that's why I have fallen sick! The weather so warm, so humid and stuffy on the outside and my room sometimes so cold and dry... Aiyoh cannot tahan! I was so sick last week I could not talk at all, my throat all swollen for one day, the next, itchiness sets in, the 3rd day cough like mad! Oh and not to mention my headaches! Omg! Really really super bad! Have not felt this bad in a long long time! Really like my whole neck and head is pounding and I am so so nauseous when I have these attacks!

Therefore I gathered it is perhaps because I never sleep well. There were days where I know I am so so so exhausted and yet! I lie in bed for a long long time, and I don't feel relief and I can't sleep. So I went and bought that GabaNite drink. Just one time, drink and relax, sleep well. I used it on Saturday night. It took a while for me to sleep like a baby but when I wake in the morning, I did feel a lot better. No more headaches! Woo hoo!! So I am happy. On those days when I think I know I am going to pass out but can't I might buy this drink to help me.

I just... Wanna have a good night's sleep. Wanna feel the relief and want to have a good well rested morning. :) now I am sitting at the foot of my bed and Jon has taken up the WHOLE bed, sad. How to fit in? I need a new bed. Haha.
