IT'S SUNDAY!

Today was fun! I went to Watsons and bought myself this pearlie white tooth paste. I want whiter teeth! And a.. whatdoyoucallit, a digital weighing machine. More accurate ma! And i realised I lost weight. The last time i had a weigh in at the doctors like 2 weeks ago, I was like 1 kg more than now. This is not so bad la, I wanna be slimmer. SOOOO FAT -- for what! HAHA! Take up space only! HAHA.

Oh and I bought Koi. Green tea honey with Pearls. I bought for jon too. He loves it! Apparently (or so he says), he has never drank Koi before. I mean like seriously! Which planet are you from man, boyfriend! Never drink Koi before? Hee hee! We met for some shopping and get together time in Ion. And... I BOUGHT A NEW BAG! this makes going to work a little better! haha! CAN bring NEW bag to WORK! WOO!

Sadly, our fun day kinda ended there cause I had to go to work at moi papa shop! No choice! Since my dad dad needs help, I will go help him. When I was there, my boyfriend msn me, WHERE IS MY PHONE CHARGER? -_-" boys! :) Ok la, nonetheless, jon is really a very nice bf. I know he tries to give in to me as much as possible. THANKS baby! Oh yes, I tried to help him 'FIND' his phone, online. Tell him places to search etc. After which, he found it in the spare room. We both think the maid took it to charge her phone and forgot to put it back thereafter.

Aunty Annie was at work today too. She introed me to watch this HK drama, Only You. Quite nice! I am a sucker for HK dramas. Keeps me addicted. Very addicted. :p We had char kway teow and hokkien mee for dinner. Not so delicious the Whampoa hokkien mee today. Taste very bland. Sianness. So I worked. Then I left at about 10pm. Papa gave me a lift home.

I went home and showered. And watched CSI. :) nice. CSI marathon. I just spoke to my baby on the phone. He just booked in his new unit. Now i am gg to SLEEP. :) Niteee!!

fast forward.

Seems like everything is moving forward and along side super quickly all of a sudden. At first, it was just me trying very hard to like, run the school, i was busy like everyday. Then when my colleagues and boss were back from Taiwan, we were all just really busy trying to prepare all the relevant documents for a government's audit and then, wooshh, it's over. just like that. i hope we fared well. i mean after all the hard work we've done, making sure all the files are in place and everything is crystal clear all, please don't tell me we won't be getting the 4 year pass. i will be like super duper upset. And i think all my pretty colleagues and bosses will be too. and then suddenly, again, it's the weekend.

time really flies. i know i know, i know i have used this phase a lot and very often, but i totally really think so! earlier this week jon was still having and enjoying massively, his one week break from being a trainee, to his move to a (more permanent - we hope) unit. He started the week really happy and ended the week, like a bit stressed and sad, depressed. i know it is not easy to be posted to one camp, fit in, start making tons of friends, start liking and bonding with everyone and then have be to separated and start afresh in another. However, i supposed, this is all part and parcel of army life (actually all LIFE is somewhat similar), so he just really have to serve and f* off. All the best my darling! :)) U can do it! JIAYOU!

On Thursday, after spending darn lot of time in the office, sorting out documents, at 8pm, i finally could leave and meet brother bob at nandos for chicken.  i ate sooo much chicken. half of it. as in, half a chicken, and rice and grilled veggies. i think i ate the same amount of food brother bob ate! and perhaps even more, cos i ate more rice! it's scary!

Friday, it was our gahment audit. The whole day, we were super jumpy. The tension in the office was so like, thick, u could cut it open with a butter knife and spread it on toast for lunch. SCARY! After all the big hoo-haa, the gahment people left at 5pm. We continued life as normal. SY very kindly gave me a lift to sommerset to meet jon and bobby. we were to go to 360 bar at Mandarin Gallery. The place is not bad, quite nice, but the service is really, thumbs down. I won't go back again. Never, NA-DAHHH. I won't go back and spend decent cash on drinks there. After which, my poor bf was so tired, we took a cab home and slept almost instantaneously.

Saturday!! WOO HOOO!! We had breakfast at Macdonalds, shopped at Cold Storage, went to Bukit Timah plaza, bought a delicious watermelon freeze thingy, went home, napped and stuff and did our thang. Late at night we went to watch Pirates of the Caribbean with Tye Wei, Leroi, Hanjie and Raymond. We first had dinner at Carls Jr. Oh and we saw Claudia and Daphne! :) Claudia recognised jon first. NOT ME! wah lau. Pirates was realllyyyy nice!! I totally ENJOYED the show! like major! I think i might wanna watch it again! :) Anyway, after that we all went for Starbucks at Cathay. Nice. I shared a hot chocolate with my darling. After which I went home, jon went to watch soccer with his neighbours. THENNNNNNN...

... It's SUNDAY. Sometimes i feel that Sunday is kinda sad. It just means the next day is Monday and have to jiayou at work again! Wanna know what I did on Sunday? Read the next POST! :)

happy birthday to me!

Woah I realised I haven been writing because I have been really busy at work!! So much documentations and people to talk to, logistics to handle and this and that. Really stressing me out! But I must say, the buzz really kept me going. :) Time flies by when you are busy handling all your work, yes? :) 

And before I digress further, TADA!! yesterday I celebrated my 28th Birthday!! WOO HOOO!! Jill you are soooo old man. One day you'll be as wrinkled as a prune. Nobody can tell you and a grandmother apart! Heh heh!

Firstly, I would like to thank all that celebrated this day with me, my family, my jie meis (sabby and gang), my brother bobby, my sweet love Karene, my darling jon and everyone in the office! my colleagues are awesome! i love everyone of them! :) oh yes, and my bosses. Really! I don't care how many (crappy) edutrust forms I have to do, I love my company. :) Oh yes, and my students too! they are soooo awesome! Thank you!

My students bought me some sweets, one of those skeletal-hanging-hp-strap from Cheers, a box of po chai pills and made me a birthday card! Why po chai pills? Cos every morning I complain to them that I got tummy ache. heeheheeehee!!

Bobby ordered some flowers for me! It came with a box of chocolates, a box with a necklace, and floaty Happy Birthday balloons! SO AWESOME! Lanmay bought me a box of donuts. I must really try to finish it by tomorrow, if not, it's gonna go bad. My sweet love gave me a small pouch that I can use for coins and office keys! Very useful! And a very cute pink lip balm from etude house. :)

LAST BUT NOT LEAST! I am so happy with the gift JON gave me!! OMG! He bought me the necklace and ear ring set from Swarovski! I had my eye on it like forever! My darling is the best! and he brought me to a super nice place for dinner! Fish Market Bistro at Greenwood Ave. The food was awesome! I love my threadfin and the greens they serve with it. Jon really surprised me. :) thank you dearest, love yaaaa.. oh yes, Jon's mum bought me a dress from mphosis. Pretty! :)

wah i totally overate for dinner man! i met jon at brinjai park after work and we had zi char for dinner. :)



we ordered butter squid, hot and spicy soup (both his fave) and my VERY ULTIMATE ULTRA LOVE: COFFEE PORK RIBS! i love coffee pork ribs, not because it taste like coffee, but it's somewhat crispy, coated with a slightly thick sweet black sauce! the coffee pork ribs the zi char store at brinjai park serve is exceptionally delicious (at least according to me, because i love coffee, the love for it extend to my main meals), much different from the other stores i've tried before. other stores are not as awesome as theirs!



BUT (! - there is always a but right, haha) we always have to wait VERY long to be served! usual waiting time is about 30 to 40 mins! :( On some days like today, i wait until i sooooo hungry already, keep seeing people around me being served first! SO SAD! i like glutton like that keep eyeing their food and like keep complaining to jon. whine and whine, where is my food! i'm STARVING! haha.


i still love to eat dinner there despite the waiting time cos they serve awesome fare. worth it to wait a lil longer, esp on lazy dinner days like these. today we had the liberty of eating slowly and enjoyed our time together (unlike usual Sunday nights where we have to rush dinner so jon can go back camp on time). that being said, i really enjoy chatting with friends and loved ones over meals. i find chatting (and eating) stress busting! haha!



after dinner, we took a slow walk back home, relaxed a lil and talked about our future (more like daydream about nonsense) then i took a bus home. no rush, just took my own sweet time. it was really relaxing. :)



i long to have more nights like this.

happy early birthday to me!

ytd was GREAT!

my gfs arranged to meet me and jon at 1 altitude and we went to celebrate my birthday tgt!! :) WEE!! actually this is almost the first time i get to like really celebrate my birthday after all these while. i am already 28. birthdays celebrations are like a thing of the past. not so much into it already.

and seriously speaking, i dun really like to plan for such things. ask Sabby. she almost had to co-ordinate all our meet-ups for the last couple of years. think 7 girls, from all walks of life, each doing different things (claudia is a financial advisor-cum-chicken chop seller, viviann now not working, evie gonna start school, anthea in sales, mel a mother of one and sabby holds some really senior post in the beauty and hair care industry and of cos me, in the private education sector) really makes arranging for meet-ups quite a massive task! but thank God we all managed to make it ytd! omg! we had so much fun! and this is also the first time jon met the girls. he is of cos the 'xiao didi' and all of us, big sisters. :) 

our first stop, One Altitude at UOB Building. we took the lift to the 65th floor maybe? WOW the view at the top was amazing!! pity it was really crowded ytd and we couldn't get a table but i supposed if we could come on another weekday it should be very quiet and nice! a lot of photo taking opportunities! but we left for Hooters shortly :D at some point, sabby panicked cos she thought we left jon at the top when we all got into the lift. haha so at the end of the night, Sabby has a god-son. haha. jon, a god-ma. So FUNNY! 


oh at Hooters we had SOOOO much to eat! the girls ordered chicken wings, onion rings, prawns, oysters, curly fries, and beers, root beer floats, coke! and the Hooter girls even sang me a birthday song!! so cute! jon was sleepy some point in the night but i think he enjoyed himself to! i am very happy. after Hooters, we went to Boat Quay. Some of us were not so used to the sleazy Boat Quay place so we only went to the pub (called Cyclone?) for a couple of minutes then we left for home. ALL TIRED and SPENT! 


I really wanna thank the girls for this amazing birthday meal and time spent tgt! WOOO HOOOO!! let's have more of this! :)

hardROCK CAFE!

woohoooo!! i realised most of my post are about food! haha!

Today, it seemed all i've done is eat. milk and bread for breakfast, mee siam, stewed pig trotters in vinegar (so soooo duper yummy!), chicken wings, all cooked by jon's mum, his cousins brought cupcakes, fruit tarts, bread and butter pudding. what a spread! everything was delicious! i knew i cannot eat so much so i really controlled my food intake la. if i really wanna gorge, i would have taken like, 2 or 3 helpings of everything. haha. instead, i only had a tiny morsel of each and every tasty item! :*(

in the late afternoon we met his friends, the same bunch of guys less the girls, for a movie: Leroy, TW, HJ and Truman. we watched 'the priest'. i thought the show was quite... nice. as in the fighting scenes and all, not so bad, but the story line is somewhat odd and a bit confusing.

We went for dinner at Hardrock Cafe! CAN U BELIEVE it, it's my FIRST time at Hardrock man! HAHAHA! The potions are soooo huge there! omg! i only had like 1/3 of my salad! AND i was soooo full by then! we sat and talk for a long while at hardrock cos the boys don't have to work tmr but me and jon have to. We left at about 945 and jon gave me a lift home.

i am not like, terribly missing jon and parting with him for the night and not that bad, it's just that i don't like the fact that, i have to be alone and face work tmr. :( not that work is bad, cos i actually do love my colleagues, bosses, my job and generally everything there, it's just that, i wished for Sunday to be MUCH MUCH LONGER! if i were to spend the night at his place, i wouldn't feel this, crappy, because with him, it always seems like the weekend! :) having said that, i chose to come home and spend some time with my FOX and AXN. haha!

WELL, MONDAY BLUES STARTS ON SUNDAY NIGHT!

Prawning!

i joined jon and his cute friends from poly for prawning last night! it was such a wonderful experience. i hardly do such... 'not so clean' activities. haha. we went to this prawning farm (do you call it prawning farm even?) at Bishan (601 Sin Ming Ave) and the place SURE was CROWDED! there were like 8 of us and there weren't any visible space for such a big group but we very thickskinly squeezed ourselves at some side of the pond area, beside this damn skillful uncle (ok TW calls him Ah Pek). we dragged a lot of chairs to our side and some how or rather blocked up the walk away a bit but do we reallly care? not, so much. haha. Then! we started catching our prawnssss!

we had 2 rods and shared amongst each other. MAN it was FUN! but since it was so crowded our line keeps getting tangled with other people's bait and hooks and such. at first we only caught like, 4 (like really slowly) and watched the damn skillful uncle catching the prawns like every other minute! so demoralised! when we catch like one, we were all like, YAY! SO BIG or YAY! SO CUTE! but the uncle sitting beside us have like no feeling like that. he had lke 2 rods and some other special bait. season one this uncle. respect.

anyways, i think i caught a total of 4 prawns? jon caught like 5 or 6? huiting caught like 3 or 4 too, cos she only prawned for awhile. not bad for a first timer! I think HJ caught like, 4? :) the rest of the catch, credits goes to TW. he is the pro-master! At the end of 3 hours, with total catch count at 41, we went to skewer our prawn with satay sticks then BBQ them at the pits provided. Oh yea, and we sprinkled the prawns with salt! So YUMMY. i had like, 3 prawns? there were like 6 of us at the end so i supposed everyone had about the same number. :)

but i must say, i am quite grossed out by the condition of the place. not that there is ANYTHING wrong with the place, it is a prawn pond/farm la. of cos it will be wet and dirty. but i a bit cannot stand it. i know it is just me, and my hygiene problems, nothing pretty much to do with the place. everyone seems to be enjoying themselves! haha. Leroy very kindly gave most of us a lift home and the first thing we did was to BATHE! i used like damn alot of dettol body wash sia! so freaked out about the dirtiness of the place! haha!

next time i must prawn again! and catch more PRAWNS!

I love facials!

After work yesterday I went for my facial at bliss spa. I always go for the 'Youth-as-we-know-it' package deal. Heh heh! Cos I old already ma. Like seriously! Later this May, in fact, in abt 10 days' time, I'm gonna be like, 28 years old ey! Wah lau can die! How sia? I'm always paranoid abt my age n wrinkles on my face n looking old because, sadly, my dear bf is only like 21. He will only be 22 like at the end of the year. -_-"

Anyways, I digress, my facial at Bliss. I love going for facial n having my facial done by Shareen. Oh she is a very interesting n bubbly individual n she can keep me company n we can talk abt anything at all for that 1.5hrs that I'm lying on the warm facial bed. Even though it may seem like nothing, but this ability to be able to communicate n voice out, but I really find, being able to put into words, the things u are thinking of, ur inner most secrets, to be able to tell an almost-stranger really amazing.

She let me in on her family problems, her own personal problems, her general views on the country politics, and everything almost. Her son, his day at school, her friends, her eating habits. Everything, spilled out to me for the last 90mins. I hope I was able to be her listening ear. :) n that she might find some solace in talking. :)

After my damn shiok massage n facial, feeling completely barefaced n balmy n oily n sticky, I took a bus to jon's place n we had macs for dinner! Did I say the hot n spicy nuggets are like, damn awesome maxed out? Sooooo hot n yet sooooo delicious? I had like 5 of those n collapsed in jon's Gordan. Wonderful bliss! :D

wow i must say i am really focused today at work and i am glad that i've decided to take half the day off yesterday to get well. today i am doubly as productive. beats feeling down and out for 2 days right!? :)

i've decided to skip heading out for lunch with the girls as the weather outside is really hot and i can SOMEWHAT feel a headache coming on. hmmm, i asked SY to buy some honey glazed chicken for me. Heehee!! SO MUCH FOR MY DIET!

well gotta head back to work now. and hope the girls have a wonderful lunch! :)

A starbucks a day chases the blues away!

I stayed over at jon's place last night. :) please to say all irritation has been resolved. Yes I know at many times I get really anal about many things! Yes I am a control freak n I know it la! So sorry ok, to people I sometimes push my way or force to get things out! From today on I will try (try la) to be more understanding n patient to people who are more relac in life. Hahaha!

Anyway that being said, usually if I stay over at jon's place, I usually turn up damn early at work lor because he leaves the home at 730am n I will naturally leave with him. :D so I will park myself at Starbucks plaza singapore for my fave cafe americano grande before hobbling my fat ass to work at say about 855am? Actually I feel it's quite shiok la, this, about 25 mins or so of 'me' time, just drinking coffee, listening to radio or some gospel music n thinking about my work for the day. Good preparation la n I can pray too, talk to God! :)

Okay la I need to walk Liao, tummyache a bit too (must be the coffee) haha! Talk later!! :D

sometimes i don't understand why there is no sense of urgency. it's already so late. and i am so tired and yet i am still waiting for you to call me, to come and find me. every time you just take things for granted. i hope one day i will disappear from you. don't come around for me later.

hair woes

ok. since i am like, free today, because i am on medical leave, i think i might just update more stuff. :)

i have problems with my hair. my hair's like really dry and rough and scratchy all. seriously, i kinda like it this way. having, slightly damaged (ok, it is a lot more than slightly) hair kinda gives my hair more.. volume. i am a victim of really limp and fine, flat hair. so anything that can make my hair more va-va-voommm kinda makes me really happy.

i envious girls with naturally wavy hair, hair that is wavy and like, cascading down their backs. even if the hair's damage and dry, is quite nice too right? haha. well i know people with naturally wavy hair or big hair will not agree with me! my pretty boss, who has naturally slightly wavy and poofy hair (she recently got it straightened again) dislikes her wavy hair. but i will KILL to have some volume and some... curls in my hair!

it would be easy if i can get it permed but sad to say, my hair, is weak. and it does not hold curls well. i've gotten it permed before. day one, it's pretty and nice and two days later, it's straight, flat out and ULTRA damaged from all the perming chemicals. so sad! so i supposed i have to be contented with straight hair. :(

i think i might just get hair extensions (again) and this time, i will extend with curly hair! :) i go to angel xin at chinatown point to get my hair extensions. very time consuming but the outcome is very pretty. :)

sick today

i am unwell today. having the sniffles. heavy head, block nose, sore throat all, sore eyes, discharge in my eye, bumps on my face beside my eyes... the whole works (feels like allergy actually). made me feel very crappy and clouded. couldn't exactly focus well at work so i took half day off and went to see a doctor.

it must be the recent weather la, so crowded at the doctor's! so many people falling sick man! i was suffering from shaky hands too. like my hands tremble when i try to type and do work. :( too bad jon is busy at work and he can't come home to take care of me. sucks. i need some company!! boo hoo hoo! :(

i bought me some pancake from mr. bean / jollibean, and i decided that's dinner. not much of an appetite too. roarrrrrzzzzz... feeling this sick really sucks. maybe jon can come by for dinner / supper later and show me some loveeee. :)

my brother was home too when i returned. he too have the flu. so yea i think this is a virus that's moving around in my house. -_-" oh and i lazy to bathe!! why must people bathe everyday ah? why? i didn't even break a sweat today! heh heh heh...
